AirFree P-1000 Air Sterilizer and Purifier Air Filter - Ionic free + Ozone Free
I'd like to share my experience with my AirFree P-1000 air cleaner. AirFree calls their style of air cleaner an "Air Sterilizer" because of the way it works. Most air cleaning units that take dust and other contaminants out of the air work by pulling air into the unit, where it's sucked through a filter or filters. Then the clean air is vented back into the room. AirFree is of course similar, but there's a major difference. AirFree also pulls room air into the unit, but instead of running it through a filter, the air is passed through a small incineration chamber where it is super-heated. This basically kills, incinerates, and burns up the dust mite droppings, mold spores, and funny smells! The chamber is made of a ceramic material, and it's totally safe. My unit uses about as much power as a 60-watt light bulb. And you never, ever replace or buy filters. There's no filter in there. The heated chamber does the work. And does this thing work? Oh yes, it sure does! I bought mine because my downstairs neighbors were making me sick with their mildew-ridden apartment.
My eyes were puffy, fingers swollen, and phlegm was getting into my chest. I have an auto-immune disease, and this was very harmful. When I first plugged the AirFree into the wall, I could tell it was working. It was most definitely pulling stinking mildew spores out of the air and burning them to death. Yea! I did begin to breathe easier quickly. Of course, the final solution was for them to remove their gross carpet and bleach the walls, but I digress. This small, quiet unit is truly worth the 200 bucks I paid for it. You just plug it in, let it run and it'll do its job. You know it's one because there's a blue light at the top of the unit. You can adjust the brightness if you choose if you think it's too bright at night. I'm extremely pleased with this small but very effective air sterilizer. Thanks to my awful neighbors I discovered a really neat, useful tool.
