Airgle Model 750 Air Purifier
AWe are all concerned about the air we breathe to be free from contents, whether gaseous or floating particles, that may have an adverse effect on our health. In particular, homes with infants/young kids or persons with allergic afflictions, have to take extra care. With most of our time spent in closed cubicles, rooms or halls, both at home and office, there has been an increasing demand for a device that removes harmful components from ambient air. The claims that various brands make to assure us regarding this leave quite an element of doubt their effectiveness being subjective.
When I decided to install a unit at my house, I was already fed with some unfavorable comments of my friends about the units they had bought. So after some serious internet searches, I zeroed in on AIRGLE 750. It was in a slightly expensive range but answered my concerns better than most others in the market.
I was aware of a ban the government was about to enforce on air purifiers that generated excessive ozone (its molecule has three oxygen atoms compared to two in normal oxygen) as it was found to be harmful in particular for asthma patients. My enquiries about this concern were more than satisfied in case of Airgle 750. The product has a continuous system that monitors the quality of air when it is in operation.
That is a big tell-tale feature. Additionally, the Home Appliance Manufacturers Association has certified the product as the one having the highest clean air delivery rate. Other features that impress are (a) two washable filters, (b) a programmable LCD panel that allows time/ speed settings quite easily, (c) an auto shut off option that provides the ease of system shutting off automatically after the pre-set time, (d) handy remote control and (e) a provision for filling the ambience with an aroma of one’s liking.
RATING: 4 out of 5.
PROS:
- (1) Certified technology supporting effectiveness.
- (2) Silent operation.
CONS:
- (1) Higher price range.
- (2) The size of the unit that may not suit very small rooms/enclosed areas.
