For kitchens, offices, or bedrooms that are no bigger than 225 square feet, you will want a fan with blades that fall between 42" and 48". For those rooms that are 100 square feet or less, you will need blades that are between 32" and 36".

Now you need to choose the color and style of your ceiling fan. It is a good idea to coordinate your ceiling fan with the rest of the room. For instance, the blades might match the finish of your furniture or the body may match something within the room in some way.

You will also need to consider ceiling height, you so not want a ceiling fan that hangs too low, nor do you want one that is too high up. You need to find a happy medium in your ceiling fan to ensure maximum efficiency and comfort.

What to Look for in a Ceiling Fan

The first thing many people think about when buying a ceiling fan is how much it is going to cost them. While price should be a considering factor, it should not be the deciding factor. The lower a ceiling fan costs, the less reliable it is going to be. Quality should be your highest priority for many reasons.

First, if the ceiling fan is of high quality it will be less likely to wobble during use, which can actually save you money, since you will not have to replace the unit for a good teal of time. Quality ceiling fans tend to last much longer and have a quieter fan operation. It will be less noisy and still give you everything you need from your ceiling fan.
