I bought this humidifier originally to try and help my husband stop snoring so loudly, and it didn't work. It did end up going to good use with my toddler aged niece, though. She loved the cute pig design, and it really worked well in the guest bedroom upstairs, where it can get extremely dry in the winter. It also helped calm her down at night, because she would watch it while she laid in bed and fall asleep faster instead of bouncing around for hours.

This humidifier did a pretty decent job helping with some of my dry skin problems. I never realized how much I need a humidifier until I bought this one for cheap when it was on sale. Although it works pretty good, it is not excellent because it is designed mostly for kids. I think if you have serious dry skin problems instead of just a room you want to be less dry, then it might be worth it to spring for a more expensive model.

One pro of this humidifier is its cute design, because it helps blend into the room more, instead of looking like a hunk of machinery just sitting on a table. If a air humidifier looks good, you are more likely to keep it out and actually use it, instead of forget about it in a closet or attic somewhere.

A con of this humidifier is the lack of controls on it. There is no digital thermometer or setting, you turn it on and it runs until it runs out of water. I would prefer that I could set a timer on humidifier so it could turn on and off at specific times without me being there, like if I am at work and I want the room to be in a good condition when I get come.
