Everstar 11,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner

This air conditioner has got to be one of my best investments ever! I have a larger apartment that did not come with an air conditioning unit. But I live in Chicago and it gets hot and it gets humid here.

I needed one, especially, with an 8 month old. I got this machine this summer and am overall happy with it. It was a little more than I anticipated spending, but then again this was the first time in a long time I had to purchase something like this and I didn’t know that the portable ones were more expensive.

But as soon as I got it home and got it working I was convinced I made a really good choice. The sales person was really helpful too. It cooled very quickly and was probably better than any model I could have purchased for my window and not as troublesome. I love the remote too!!!


Pros
- Cools quickly-within minutes for a big apartment. Also keeps the humidity down which I can appreciate not having to get a dehumidifier
- You don’t have to worry about anything in your window, a draft, or any of the coolant leakage. It is versatile enough to be moved from one room to another quickly

Cons
- To me it’s a little bit noisier than I thought it would be for a portable. It’s not the worst sound in the world but a little louder than I thought it would be.
- It had the most annoying wrapping. Everything was covered. Every part, ever section EVERYTHING. It took me about 45 minutes to unwrap everything. I don’t exactly understand why.
