The cooling capacity of this Frigidaireunit is 10,000 BTU. It can cool rooms of up to 490 square feet and offers a smaller footprint, with the cooling capacity for medium to large room applications.
Although this unit is not an Energy Star compliant air conditioner ? it nonetheless has a high Energy Efficiency Ratio(EER) of 9.8 and boast a number of energy saving features including sleep mode, energy saver option, variable fanspeeds; a 24-hour on/off timer and low voltage compensation technology.
Other features include electronic controls and full-function remote with a filter-check reminder light; an 8-way directional airflow choice; a rigid mesh tilt-out filter, for easy cleaning and a pleated quick-mount window kit to help with the installation.

Controls and Functions
Electronic ControlsAn electronic touch pad and full-function remote capabilities make it simple to operate.
Touch Pad / Remote
Used on their own of in combination both touch pad and full function remote make programming and cooling adjustments very simple and convenient.
Digital Display Panel
This display panel on the control panel touch pad, permanently displays the selected temperature. However at the time of selection it will briefly display the fan speeds or time selection.
Fan Modes:-
The three fan modes are cool, energy saver and fan only.
Variable Fan Speeds:-
A variety of fan speeds can be chosen for any of the fan modes and range from 10 to 99. As the fan speed is selected it is displayed momentarily on the display panel, before reverting back to the temperature display.
24 Hour Timer:-
Start time can be delayed or programmed to begin at a set time - from up to 24 hours in advance.
Sleep Mode
This mode is automatically pre-programmed to maintain a cool bedroom while saving energy.
DehumidifierFunction
By removing excess moisture from the air, both room comfort is improved and energy efficiency is increased.
Clean Air Filtration
Dust particles and the like are removed by means of the Ionizer/Electrostatic Clean Air Filtration system, which purifies the air and gives relief to allergy sufferers.
LVC
Low Voltage Compensation is a technology that ensures the safe operation of the unit, should there be any voltage fluctuations, especially at the start-up of the unit.
8-Way AirflowOption
Airflow is adjusted by means of a mechanical rotary control. This is achieved by rotating auger wheels (left/right) AND moving the swing louvers (up/down).
Variable Speed Fan
The variable speed fan on this electronically controlled unit, gives a huge range of fan and cooling options.First there is a choice of three fan options/ modes (cool, energy saver and fan only). These modes are selected on the touch pad or remote control.
In addition to the selected mode, there are 90 distinct fan-cooling speeds.
These cooling speeds range from 10 to 99 and are displayed on the touch-pad’s digital display window.
This two-digit display, ranging from 10 to 99 is used to indicate the fan speed setting.
When the ‘FASTER” button is pressed, the speed of the fan increases, and the fan speed is shown on the two-digit display window. After a further 5 seconds the display window reverts back to showing the set temperature.
When the ‘SLOWER” button is pressed the speed of the motor slows down, and the fan speed is shown on the two-digit display window. After a further 5 seconds the display window reverts back to showing the set temperature.
Sounds and Noise
There are a number of sounds / noises resulting from the normal operating functions of Frigidaire air conditioners.A gurgle or hissing sound happens when refrigerant passes through the evaporator.
The sound of rushing air at the front of the unit happens when the fan is blowing air.
A high-pitched chatter happens in the cooling cycle.
A pinging or swishing happens when little drops of water fall on the condenser.
Vibration is likely to happen because of incorrect installation or a poorly constructed window or wall.
Air Filters
There is a useful Filter Check on the electronic touch-pad controls where an indicator light gives a reminder to check / clean the filter.Filter cleaning is simplified with the Tilt-Out Filter Access Feature.
The filter is Reusable and made of Rigid Antimicrobial Mesh /
There is alsoa Clean Air Feature on this model.
