Frigidaire FAA055P7A Compact Room Air Conditioner

I purchased this Frigidaire air conditioner at the beginning of last summer, and have overall been very pleased with it. It works well to cool down a small bedroom (about 10 ft. square) no matter how hot it is outside. Temperatures in this area get up to 100 degrees in August, and the a/c has been able to keep the room cool withstading that heat. The unit cost under $200, which made it cheaper than any other brand I saw online for a room this size.

My favorite feature is the timer function. I can set the timer to turn the air conditioner on up to 12 hours after I leave the house, and that way the room is already cool when I return home at the end of the day. The timer can also be used to turn the unit off. It also has all the standard features, such as a fan mode and energy saver mode.

My husband's favorite feature is the remote control, which works from anywhere in the apartment. The remote can be used to turn the unit on or off, adjust the temperature to the exact degree desired and to set the timer. The remote requires two AA batteries, but those have never needed to be replaced.

The only downsides are that the machine is rather noisy and that the filters have to be changed often. Overall, though, it does it's job very well - it keeps us cool in the summertime. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good, reasonably priced air-conditioner for a small room.
