GE 1200 BTU Digital Air Conditioner
My window unit air condition is manufactured by GE. It is approximately a 12oo BTU and it is digital. I own two of the same window air conditioner units and my home is appoximatley 1000square feet.
If the doors to the three bedroom are left open it cools the house on a hot summer day in just a couple hours. My window air conditioner unit has multiple digital settings. The number one feature on the window unit is a digital thermometer.
I have three level settings for the fan, high, medium and low, and temperature controls, temperature settings range from 64 degrees to 80 degrees. The window unit also has a fan only setting operation and an energy saving mode. The energy saving mode turns the unit off when the temperature I have specified is reached.
If the unit is just left on the fan will continue to run. I also have an air filter that is easily accessible which makes for easy cleaning. I can also use a wet or dry cleaning method for the filter. The air conditioner window unit I own also has a delay feature if I a going to be out and want to save energy by not cooling the house when it is unoccupied.
The delay is pre set by the manufacture for 1 or two hours. The not so appealing points with the window unit are that the unit itself is very heavy and requires caution and care when putting in the window or taking out of the window. It also misreads the temperature when it is programmed.
If the unit is in the East side of the house and the sun is directly on it it will turn on even though the temperature in the room is not what the air conditioner unit is reading. I would have to rate this window air conditioner unit at a four because it does work great paired up with the second one for my home.
