The GE AHW30LJG1 Dehumidifier is a perfect little unit for any size home. With features like user selectable humidity settings, high and low fan speed setting and auto shutoff when the water collection bucket is full. This unit will filter 30 pints in a 24 hour period. It also has a removable filter on the back of the unit that should be cleaned every 250 hours of use.

Another great feature is the user selectable humidity range between 35 percent and 70 percent humidity level auto shutoff or simply select “ ON “ to keep it running all the time. The collection bucket is easily removed at the rear of the unit, and can be dumped manually or has the option of connecting a section of garden hose (not supplied) and run it into a floor drain so you never have to worry about dumping the bucket.

I have had this unit now for about 2 years in my small basement about a 30 foot by 25 foot area and it works great! It has removed the dampness in my basement and keeps it dry without that nasty moldy smell. I have it hooked up with the option to have it dump into a floor drain so I never have to worry about emptying the bucket and I simply leave it set at 40 percent humidity and forget about it. The unit is very compact size, 12” wide by 14” deep by 20” high and weighing approximately 15 pounds it is very easy to move around on its provided floor rollers.

It also is a attractive unit with its white colored, nicely designed shell so it won’t look unsightly if placed in a visible area. The unit runs reasonably quite, but it can be a bit annoying if your trying to watch tv or listen to the radio and you hear it running in the background.

Overall this is a great little unit for using on a small basement or room that needs attention due to high humidity problems. I give this GE Dehumidifier a 4 out of 5 rating.
