We recently purchased this air conditioner from Wal-Mart, and installed it on the hottest day of the year.
We live in the upper apartment where it can get hot very quickly. It's a 10,000 BTU unit cooling our one bedroom apartment. It comes with the energy star logo, which made me happy, and was at the reasonable price of 189.00 that made my husband happy.
He had no trouble installing it by himself. I can't imagine why we didn't get one sooner. I would recommend this product for anyone who lives in a small place where central air is not available.
