Haier 8,000 BTU Through the Wall Air Conditioner

My husband and I purchased this air conditioner to supplement our central air in our main living area during the hot summer months. It has really turned out to be a great purchase.
According to the product literature, the air conditioner is supposed to cool an area of about 350 square feet. However, we have found that the actual cooling area is larger than that. In fact, there have been many days in the summer where we have not turned on our central air at all! This air conditioner mounts easily into a window and plugs into any electrical outlet.
It has three different settings that are controlled on a digital display. All of the controls are electronic as well. It also has an electronic timer, although we have not used this feature very much. We paid about $375.00 for the air conditioner.
It is a little expensive, but the cost is totally justified because we have saved so much on our utility bill. The only negative thing I can say about this air conditioner is it does tend to be a little noisy and some condensation has occurred on the wall near where it is mounted.
We have already recommended this handy air conditioner to our friends. It is definitely a great product.
