Home Essentials Supreme 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner

by ella

I'll be honest right off and let you know that this is about ten times more than I thought I would ever be willing to spend on an air conditioner (over five hundred dollars). Also that I am one of the greatest penny-pinchers of all time, so for me to drop that amount of money on an appliance says that I either had a moment of insanity or the product is well worth it.

Well, it is worth it.

I desperately need a house with a lot of windows- the downside to this is that in the middle of summer, even with all the window shades drawn that the house gets very hot and stuffy. This air conditioner cools a large (three hundred square feet) room easily, and the sound isn't disruptive. Very convenient as it has a remote control.

I found out through my research that this model is better for people with allergies, as it does not collect mold and pollen as a window unit would. Which is another good point- I only keep this out when needed, and put it away when it isn't, so I don't have a huge air conditioner taking up window space year-round.

The final plus is that the tank evaporates water itself- no more emptying grubby water tanks into the sink!

Would definitely purchase again.
