Honeywell 17000 Permanent Pure HEPA QuietCare

We bought this air purifier back in October 2008 and since then it is totally new air in out home. We bought this basically because I have lot of allergies including dust and dust mites. This particular model I liked because it has permanent HEPA filter so no need to worry about changing filters and their cost. And then it comes from a reputed company Honeywell and its unique design. It pulls air from ground level and then after filtering throws it up in the air. It has three different settings and indicator to clean the filter.

Although it is not that quite on higher levels its pretty good on low level. And for the kind of bedroom we have we usually run it on low. And above all its our personal experience that since the day we got this the air is fresh inside our home. I don't wake up congested in the morning.

We use it all the day and night; while watching TV, working and sleeping. Its very easy to carry and place anywhere like tabletop or on the ground. The cleaning instructions for filter are very easy to follow and you generally need to clean it often only if you have pets at home which we don't. So its the best one for medium size rooms.

Pros: Very good design, Permanent filter, works very effectively in medium size rooms

Cons: Although it says quietcare technology its not that quiet at medium or high settings. Little expensive for personal use. Rating: 5/5

Will buy this machine again

Pros
- Very good at filtering the Air
- Very Quite for a machine that big

Cons
- Filters can be expensive if your not careful
- It does draw a lot of power to use the machine

I bought this machine around a year ago to keep my air clean in my house. I recently moved to the inland empire in California and there is some nasty air here. Where I live in the empire, I am surrounded by mountains. This causes all the junk to be stuck in the valley and nothing can really get out. I bought it after noticing that I had to change my air furnace filter within 25 days of moving in. It is a 90 day filter so I was a bit freaked out. I started using 2 of these in my 1,000 square foot apartment and I felt like I could breath again. The furnance filter is lasting the full 90 days without having to change it. The filters for the machine do need to be changed every month or so. They can been expensive if you don't shop around. That is the only thing I really don't like about the machine. This is why I can't give it a 5 out of 5. When the machine is running, I never hear it. It doesn't keep me up at night like some of the other air filter systems I've had. If you would ask me would I buy this machine again, I would do it all over again. I might even buy another one for the house soon. I hope this review helped you find an air filter system for your house.
