Honeywell Enviracaire EFY041 Remote Control Oscillating Tower Fan

Upon moving into a new apartment, I found the air to be less than satisfying. The air circulation was poor due to a shoddy air conditioner. I purchased this air purifier to help cool down my apartment while removing particles from the air. This unit has succeeded in both while even including a detachable remote control. The remote control is convenient for turning the fan on or off from a bed or chair without having to get up.

The fan has multiple settings which allows the user to customize their air moving experience. The fan has an oscillation setting, a ?breeze? setting which simply cycles through the various power settings or switches between two power settings, and three power settings. The lowest setting is fairly powerful and could be a drawback if the customer is looking for a very quiet fan. The fan does an excellent job of circulation air and keeping my room cool and clean.

However, the unit does have minor drawbacks. The power cord to plug the unit into a wall outlet is about six feet long which limits where the unit can be placed within a room. Also, the base is made of multiple plastic pieces which must be assembled by the customer and overall has a very flimsy feel.

These negative aspects are minor enough that they should not discourage anybody from purchasing this product. For the price, this unit is an excellent value. My quality of sleep has greatly improved due to this purchase. I would highly recommend this product to somebody looking for an air purifier and a fan in one unit.

Pros:
-Detachable remote control
-Multiple settings

Cons:
-Short power cord
-Flimsy base

Keeps turning itself off!
by: Anonymous

I've had my fan for about 5 years now and it's been wonderful EXCEPT all of a sudden it started turning itself off! First it would only turn itself off it was on oscillate; now it turns itself off no matter what setting it is on. Can anyone tell me why?
