Honeywell HCM-800 QuietCare Cool Mist Humidifier

We live in Denver, Colorado so two things affect the humidity in our region: 1. being a mile high 2. dry, dry climate and low humidity. As a native New Yorker having a humidifier has made my life much more comfortable while living in Colorado.
This humidifier was reasonably priced, very simple to use, and very effective. I’ve had it for several months now and so far, so good. It about a foot and half wide and a food tall so it really doesn’t take up too much room. It takes about 3/4 gallons, I think, and that works for about 24 hours straight. Sometimes though, I feel like I fill up a couple of times in a day but that may be because it has to work extra hard here in Colorado (?) and because I keep it on high the whole time. It has three settings for the fan speed and for the humidity. It also has a blue or green night light. It changes colors according to humidity. The fan is definitely not silent but it has never bothered me. I suppose you could say it’s quieter than a regular fan or about the same. Since it is a cool humidifier, it helps to humidify and keep our room cool during scorching Colorado summers. I want to emphasize how effective it is. A few minutes after I turn it on I can already feel it in my nose and sinuses so it has really helped me avoid dry, bloody noses that dry climate cause.
