Having a humidifier is a must in our house. In the winter and spring months, our youngest son always has a croupy cough that requires treatment with cool, moist air. We had always purchased inexpensive humidifiers, but we found that they never seemed to last more than a year. Also, the filters are expensive.
So, we decided to go with a more expensive humidifier. The Hunter 2.2G CareFree Plus Permawick Humidifier is not unreasonably priced; we paid around $60 for ours. However, the quality of this humidifier is outstanding.
It has three different speed settings. Also, the tank holds 2.2 gallons of water and covers an area of over 1100 square feet. This humidifier is quieter than any other one we have owned. It also has a five year warranty.
However, I think the best feature is the filter. It never has to be changed which will definitely save us money in the long run. Overall, this is one of the best appliance purchases we have made for our home.
My son's cough is under control and none of us seem to have sinus problems with this unit in our home.
We would definitely recommend this product to our family and friends.
