We were given this humidifier as a Christmas gift. We like it a lot. It's a bit noisy, but it's very low-maintenance. In our old humidifier, we were always having to change the filters and keep extras in the utility room, but our new Hunter doesn't use filters at all.
Also, the reservoir is nice and big, so we don't have to refill it very often. Both of these qualities make it very convenient. The size is also nice because I can tuck it in a corner and it doesn't need to get in the way.
I also really like the adjustable speeds, a feature our old humidifier did not have.
However, it's slightly inconvenient as well - the system does not shut off automatically when the reservoir runs out of water, which is bad if this happens in the middle of the night. Which raises another point - it's kind of loud. We mostly use it by running it while we're gone so the house is comfortable when we return, so we can turn it off.
The price is a bit steep and if you can find it on any kind of sale, all the better, but the convenience is well worth it.
