This Air Conditioner is really good. It cools our family room easily and even gets some adjoining living areas cooled down. It does a great job and is worth it’s weight in gold! My husband has a very tough time functioning in hot weather and he has always had a small window unit in his home office.

When we bought our new home, we decided to expand the cool zone by purchasing this unit and we are not disappointed. Our area is not known to be hot, but when it is, it is humid. This really helps us beat the heat. The adjustable direction on the controls allows us to target the dining room if we want to and it gives us greater flexibility and a cooler home overall. The unit is reasonably quick and easy to mount in the window and stays secure with minimal installation headaches.

The process went smoothly for my husband. I think the thermostat works really well and keeps us at the temperature we choose, saving energy in the process. I rarely notice it turning on and off. I also love the timer and delay feature. It is great to set it and then forget about it - or have it turn on to keep things cool when we are gone - we come home to a cool house! We think this model is more economical than our smaller unit in the office, since the energy bill has not risen as much as we’d expected. That is just an added blessing. I guess this unit could be quieter. I think that would be the main drawback to some people.

I think it is a “normal” volume for a larger machine trying to cool a large amount of air. We don’t really have a problem with it. If we have to turn the volume up, that is a small price to pay!
