Kenmore 35 pint Dehumidifier

We bought this humidifier about a year ago to replace another Kenmore dehumidifier that we had for years. This time, we thought we were upgrading to a better dehumidifier.
We decided to purchase the Kenmore 35 pint Dehumidifier. We paid around $165 for this appliance. It had lots of bells and whistles that are old dehumidifier did not have.
It features an automatic humidity control as well as a washable air filter. Also, the bucket is removed from the front and is very easy to handle. The dehumidifier also lets you know when the bucket is full.
This Kenmore model also has an automatic defrost control and an external drain connector. Furthermore, it is energy star rated. All of these cool features would have been great; unfortunately, it has not worked for a month.
The dehumidifier will work for about five minutes and then it stops. It is too expensive to fix and we do not typically get warranties on appliances like this, so we have to buy a new one. We are very disappointed in this product.
Basically, it worked for less than a year. I would definitely not recommend this product to a friend!
