LG 12000 BTU Window Air Conditioner

I recently purchased this air conditioner for a little over $400. I enjoy the air conditioner because it allows me to pick up to four speeds of operation ? two for cooling and two for heating. Another advantage of this air conditioner is that it has a convenient remote that is very easy and convenient to use. My previous air conditioning system had a control panel so I had to get up every time I needed to change the temperature or needed to turn cooling or heating entirely off.

A disadvantage of this air conditioner is that it is designed to cool or heat approximately 550 feet square feet. While it is not the smallest area to cover, I wish LG offered better area coverage for this model. The air conditioner is great in terms of cooling down or heating up the living room, yet the kitchen, which is connected to my living room, does not get enough air flow, which I wish was the case given I cook a lot and it sometimes gets really hot in the kitchen.

Another disadvantage of this air conditioner is the difficulty I had installing it, especially because it fits certain window dimensions, which I did not originally have. It is worth mentioning, however, that you may not necessarily experience the same problem if you have a differently sized window that would fit this air conditioner well.
