LG Electronics LWHD1500ER Window Air Conditioner

I have this air conditioner in my house and I can say that is an ok option if you want a average air conditioner. The cost for this air conditioner was low, so is recommendable for low budgets and is affordable. This air conditioner works fairly well for the price I paid for it.

It cools the room well but not as cold as other air conditioners. It is recommended for little spaces and it will be nice. The remote control is easy to use and to understand. It has some cold levels to adjust it at you preferences.

This unit is an Energy Star remote controlled 15,000 BTU LG-brand window air conditioner. It is well priced and fairly inexpensive air conditioner, coming in at between $350-$400. We bought this when our central air conditioning went out and we needed something to get us by for the rest of the summer. It can truly cool down a rather large room. It is located in our dining room which is open to our kitchen and living room, about 800 sq feet in all, and it effectively keeps all three rooms cool.

I like the multi-directional air vents, it allows you to circulate the air around the room instead of just straight ahead. The remote is also a very nice feature to have and it has a digital thermostat which is a plus in getting a correct temperature. The set up of this unit is very easy if you follow the detailed instructions.

We had ours complete in about 30 minutes. The downside to this unit however is the sound. It is rather loud and is very noticeable when it is on, emitting a constant roar. In the living area it isn't so bad, though we do have to keep the TV louder, but I am not sure I would want it in a bedroom.

Also, even on the energy saver setting it easily uses up a lot of energy. In fact, our light bill saw a significant increase in cost after getting this unit. However, even with the drawbacks of this unit I recommended it for its positive attributes and give it a 4 as my personal rating.
