LG L8004R

I have bought this air conditioner right before the summer. I chose this air conditioner because it was selling at a relatively small price and the fact that it has digital controls. I could not believe some of the other companies; selling air conditioners with knobs, just like years ago.
The L8004R comes with a small remote control, which is very handy. I can select the temperature that I wish the air conditioner to reach and maintain. For the relatively small room I installed it in, it does not take long to reach that temperature.
The energy saver option is very important because it lets the air conditioner turn off until the temperature in the room deviates away from the target level, at that point the aid conditioner turns back on and starts to do its job.
The only gripe I have with this air conditioner – and it could be only issue in mine, is that the grill that deflects the incoming air rattles, or vibrates when the air conditioner is on. It is very annoying at times and the only viable permanent solution for this problem is to take out the plastic grill. I have inserted wood chips and tried to weight the plastic grill down, but it is still an issue nonetheless.
Surprisingly the actual air conditioner is very quiet. The grill is what makes the noise and I would definitely consider this before you buy this A/C because it could annoy you a lot – but chances are you will get used to the noise. I did.
LG is more known for the electronics, but they do have a full like of air conditioners. I do not know whether the rattling grill effect affects the whole line up and whether it will be addressed in the future models. Thank you.
