LG LSA5WG2VF1 split air conditioner

by Manoj T
(Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India)

I have been using an LG LSA5WG2VF1 split air conditioner for the past one year. I have a room of size 15 feet x 12 feet and have fitted one 1.5 ton split AC with a single indoor unit, which provides adequate cooling adequate cooling for the room.

This AC has a rotary compressor which I have mounted on the roof of my house. The distance from the compressor to the Indoor unit is approximately 10 feet. The AC is fitted with Neo Plasma filter which incorporates deodorizing filter and anti fungus or bacteria removal filter. It cleans the air through a 12-step process of filtration. It is quite effective in keeping the air inside the room clean and fresh. I try and clean the filter every month on a regular basis so as to keep it free from chocking.

It has an anti corrosive body so one really does not have to bother about rusting. With a energy efficiency ration of 2.83, it is fairly efficient, and the power consumption is quite reasonable.

There is a remote control unit available which has controls for air swing, temperature setting controls, auto shut down, fan speed, mode selection and timers. If you do not want cooling, you can run the AC on fan mode. There are three speeds at which the fan runs slow, medium and fast. I have found that the most comfortable temperature at which the AC runs is 22 degrees Celsius however one can set the temperature range from18 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius. Besides, it is fitted with intelloeye technology, ensures ambient temperature by automated regulation of the room temperature.

The temperature control is digital. With the help of the timer one can set the AC to switch off after one to seven hours, especially at night when you do not want it to get too cold.
It carries a one year warranty, though I have not had any problems in the past year that I have been using it. I am quite hopeful that it will continue giving me good service for some more time.
