LG LT1210CR 11500 BTU wall air conditioner

I bought this air conditioner when I did an addition to my house. I found out that it would require a lot of work to add vents to the new room so this seemed like a good investment. I have rated everything and given comments for the easiest review.
Cooling ability (4 of 5). This did really well in a room that was 470 square feet and all windows. The room was a Florida room. The only draw back was it took about 40 minutes for the room to feel cool.
Noise level (3 of 5). I won't say it's the loudest air conditioner I have ever used, but it could get annoying.
Durability (4 of 5). I installed it into a window and run it about 2-3 hours a day. No problems so far.
Electric use (3 of 5). The room is about 470 square feet, I use it 2-3 hours a day. It increased my electric bill by about 30 bucks. Not a whole lot but still a nice increase. I am pretty sure there are better units that use less energy.
Overall (3 of 5). It could be better but it's not the worst unit to get. I would say if you needed one, it would be useable but maybe not for the long term. This would be good to use as a quick fix.
For example, I used this for about 4 months and then went ahead and got the vents installed. I have left the wall unit in place, just in case I don't want to use the houses air conditioning unit. I do this when I throw a party.
If you don't have a house air conditioner unit and you plan on this being your main one. I would not recommend it. It would draw too much power and be pretty loud for everyday living.
Pros
- durable
- cooling ability
Cons
- pretty loud
- not a good long term investment
