LG LWHD8000

by Mary
(Eugene, Oregon, USA)

This is a window mount air conditioner though you could mount it permanent in a hole in a wall. It fits the width of my small window perfectly with just an inch extra space to put some padding for insulation on each side. We made a mount for it to ensure it will not fall but it mounted well as designed.

It is cream colored and has a remote. I love the remote so you can easily change the settings without getting up and keep the air temperature customized. It also has a energy saver setting. It tends to let the room get warmer this way so is best used while you are out to keep the room from getting to hot. My room is very large 20 by 30 about and it does a good job.

It also has a timer option but I have never felt the need to use that. In the past I used that on another Ac when in a hotter climate and needed the Ac to come on before I woke up. It is not very heavy which is good since my window is kind of high. It was a two person job to mount it but it might be okay with one if they are very careful.

There was a warranty but we have never had a problem with it. It is easy to clean the filter but it does not seem to need it to often. It was one of the less expensive air conditioners so it has been great for the money and would gladly recommend it to someone.

I have always had good luck with any LG brand appliance. You can also run this with just the fan, with exhaust open or closed. The plug does cover the whole outlet which is annoying though they suggest not plugging anything but it in so I assume that is on purpose.
