Samsung AWT18QKA - 1.5 Ton Window AC

When I was trying to buy and AC an year back, I did some good research. I visited one of the best shops for AC in my town. The shop had all the big AC vendors - Samsung, LG, Voltas, Carrier, O General, etc. with each one having their space for demonstration.

I visited all of them and the most stunning element of the Samsung AC which I bought later was its speed of airflow. The airflow is very fast and so the quickness of cooling. I immediately liked the model. I came back and spoke to few of my friends and did some research over Internet. The final opinion is Samsung is one of the best model. So I went and bought this Samsung AWT 18QKA ? 1.5 Ton Window AC.

The 1.5-ton Air Conditioner with a Rotary compressor has an energy efficiency ratio (EER) of 9.47 and has 3 fan speeds available. I am very much comfortable with mid-speed itself. Digital temperature control lets one to choose appropriate temperature and the Energy saving mode switches on and off both the fan and the AC in between to maintain appropriate temperature and reduce power consumption. Another operating mode is Bio-Sleep Mode which adjusts room temperature at various stages of sleep intelligently. With an Energy Efficiency Ratio of 9.47 it is not too heavy on your electricity bills.

Another good feature is the sleep timer. I can set the AC to switch off after 1, 2 up to 12 hours. As I prefer to sleep with my ceiling fan on while sleeping I use this feature extensively in summer. The remote is very handy having buttons with fluorescent glow, so you don?t have to search for your buttons in the night. The display panel also sports filter cleaning indicator which turns on after every 336 hours of functioning.

The service is pretty good. For one year we had a service person coming in for cleaning the Air filter. Overall it is an very good Window AC.
