Sharp CV-10MH 10000 BTY Portable Air Conditioner

I have a Sharp CV-10MH Portable Air Conditioner in silver and I absolutely love it. The air conditioner has multiple functions including: Fan (three settings and auto) dehumidifier, mega cool, temperature based cooling, louver control, and vent. The air conditioning unit sits on the floor rather than in a window and has flexible duct tubing that runs to a vent in the window leaving much more of the window free.

It is meant to cool a small to medium sized room, but we live on the third floor and it cools the entire floor. The "Mega Cool" function is great for days when a moderate amount of cooling is needed, and the temperature based mode is great for scorching hot days. We set it to sixty-eight degrees and it cools to that even on a hundred and four degree day.

It runs extremely quietly and is great for in a bedroom at night. The louvers have two modes, still or moving to better circulate the cold air. The remote operation is both convenient and inconvenient. you can make any adjustment from anywhere in the room but if you loose the remote, you are stuck with just power on/off. The dehumidifier is very efficient, but needs to be drained almost every hour.

The ducting is a proprietary Sharp design so what it comes with is what you get, but it is worth it for the convenience of portability and not having to place a large unit in the window. Overall, it is the best air conditioner I have ever owned and I highly recommend it to anyone.
