We purchased this ceiling fan because of it elegant styling and oil rubbed bronze finish. This fan comes with blades with two separate wood finishes on either side of the blades.
This allows you to match any existing furniture you have in the house. It's large 60" diameter also cools our relatively large master bedroom very well.
The lighting on the fan, although not very bright, is great for ambiance and has a dimmer that makes it adjustable.
What really impressed me about the fan was that there were rubber dampers that brace the fan against the ceiling as well as in every blade. This effectively makes this fan the quietest, most stable ceiling fan I've ever owned.
The remote that it comes with is also extremely convenient and very easy to use. Now, some downsides to this fan is that first off, the hardware that comes with the fan is very cheap. I managed to snap in half one of the 3" screws that mount the fan to the ceiling.
This was very disturbing to me. I eventually used larger diameter, and much stronger screws that I had to mount the fan.
I'm much more certain that it'll hold up better anyways. During installation, you must turn the body of the fan into the ceiling plate.
This was not a fun task. There are three separate tabs around the mounting plate that the body of the fan needs to align with. Since there was only one of me, and the fact that I can't see 360 degrees, it took quite a bit longer than I expected to mount the fan up.
Another pet peeve I have with the fan is that the retainer ring that comes with it is plastic! Considering the price of this ceiling fan (about ~$150 - $170), I didn't expect this.
Nevertheless, the finish on the plastic matched well with the metal and the overall effect, once installed was stunning. I believe this to be a great, quite fan.
I would recommend it. Since it's a name brand as well, I trust that it'll leave me with years of excellent performance.
