The number one thing you need to look for when you are buying a humidifier is how easy it is to refill the tank- if you have a gigantic five-gallon tank you are NOT going to want to fill it every night before bed! Assuming you are even willing to stagger with it from the sink to the appliance. Also, water tanks can get heavy very fast.

This tank was a comfortable size for me to carry, and fill in the sink- two pluses right away.

I also wanted a cool mist humidifier- my problem is simply extremely dry air, I did not want any added heat. In addition I did not want to use any more energy than absolutly necessary to create humidity.

The humidifier has been antibacterially treated, which makes me feel better, and the wicks that it uses are apparently inexpensive and easy to find- I don't know because I haven't had to buy them yet, but that is what the salesperson told me.

So far I am very happy with it- great output, the description of the area it can cover was accurate, and the variable settings are to my liking- but that might vary from person to person.

Best of all to me, it comes with a 3-year warranty; I think anything this long means that the company does not expect any problems in that amount of time. So far I am happy with it and would suggest other buyers to at least look into this one. The price is good too.
