After a lot of research on the internet and through various friends with small children my husband and I decided to give the Vicks V745A Warm mist humidifier a try. We have been very happy with the decision.
This humidifier was inexpensive compared to some others that we were considering. With the multiple settings for humidity output you have some control.
With the large capacity tank and selecting the lower setting, we have been able to run the humidifier for up to about a day and a half - we leave it running through the day so nap time is also comfortable.
The fact that the tank is dishwasher safe and the nice clean lines of the machine make it really easy to clean.
This humidifier is attractive enough that we can leave it in the babies' room all the time without it being an eye-sore. We don't worry about dust getting into the machine because of the way it was constructed.
My daughter finds the quiet hum of the machine peaceful and they both sleep very well with it running. It isn't nearly as noisy as some others that I have heard.
We have been very happy with our decision to purchase this humidifier to keep our babies comfortable and healthy. We would replace with this same model if the need ever came up.
