Voltas Vertis 0.75 Ton window AC

I had purchased a Vertis 0.75 Ton window AC about a year back. The cooling provided by this AC is great and could be utilized for a hall which is quite large; it would not bring any difference in the cooling. The results are quite satisfactory. The AC is very compact compared to other brands available in the market these days.

The remote is also easy to use and works well. The display reflects the room temperature at all times and shows the set temperature when the adjustment buttons are pressed. It can chill a large hall in just 3-4 minutes.The disadvantage is that if there is any issue with the printed circuit board, then the entire front panel of the AC must be replaced. This is a costly affair.

To add to the discomfort of the customers the service is very poor or I must say pathetic. At the time of installing the AC, the service engineer realized that the front grill does not fit properly on to the front panel of the AC. He asked me to get in touch with the dealer and get it replaced as soon as possible.

But when I tried to contact them later, they mentioned that it was the job of the service engineer and gave me a nice run around from one department to another.

I was finally able to reach them and they sent a guy for inspection. He handed a report to me stating it was not a defect with the grill, but with the front panel of AC. He assured me that he would return to my place and replace it the very next day. But this guy never turned up and when I tried to call them I was always told that there is no Front Panel in stock currently.

Now it is almost a year, and still the defective part has not been replaced, I tried to report this to the Service center manager and the GM of Sales, but it was of no use.

This is not the type of service expected from a company like TATA. I would never recommend this product to anyone simply because I felt that there is no value for customer in this organization.
