Vornado AQS 25 True HEPA Air Quality System

After many years of buying air purifiers that would only last a year, I finally found one that is perfect, durable and quiet! Vornado carries many highly recommended products including air purifiers, humidifiers, heaters and fans. I purchased this item and a humidifier for the upstairs of my home at the same time 3 years ago. I am happy to report that my Vornado products continue to excel and make my life easier!

The Air Purifier is being used in a downstairs den to remove dust and allergens in what used to be a musty type of room. It is marked to be able to handle a 310 SF room but easily handles almost twice that space in my den. For such a powerful unit, it is also amazingly quiet even at the highest of 5 speeds.

Being a tower style at about 17 inches wide and 30 inches tall, it fits nicely behind furniture and lamps on the corner of an end table. The AQS25’s secret is the use of 2 filters in its cleaning system. There is a pre-sorb filter that is typically sold in 4 packs, and then a full size HEPA Filter. The pre-sorb filters are replaced about every 1-2 months but the HEPA typically lasts an entire year.

The costs for the filters reflect their lifespan and the HEPA filter can be somewhat expensive at 70.00, but the time it lasts is impressive! All in all, I am more than happy with the air purifier and feel quite sure that I will continue to love to Vornado products!
