Whirlpool Gold AD70USS

by Ella
(Canada)

I've never owned a dehumidifier before and frankly I was skeptical as to how much good it would do given that I had a basement that tends to get as humid as a tropical rain forest (minus the heat that would have been welcome!) during every rain and for several hours after.

There have been a lot of reports of toxic mold in my area, so the last thing I wanted was to create a good environment for them.

I purchased this one at an outlet store, and was surprised that I could actually manage to assemble it myself- came with good instructions, and a warranty card.

I had some maintenance questions and the people on the other end of the manufacturer's line were fairly helpful.

A couple of bonuses: it has an Energy Star sticker, so I know that it will be good on energy costs, and it is quiet enough that I don't mind working within a few feet of it.

It also works wonderfully! The area I have it in is about 300 square feet, but it is still doing a good job.

In all I am extremely pleased because it was reasonably priced, easy to put together, isn't disruptive, and most of all is keeping my basement from being a muggy moldy mess!
