Whirlpool Mastermind 1.5 Ton split air conditioner

I bought the whirlpool Mastermind, a year back after my old AC had finally broken down. I had initially thought of going for an 1ton split air conditioner,because it would be cheaper. But after looking at the models available, and listening to the advice of the salesperson, i decided to buy the Whirlpool Mastermind 1.5 Ton, split air conditioner, and i must say i am glad i did.

The Whirlpool Mastermind comes with several good features such as the 6th sense mode(fuzzy logic operation)in which the temperature and fan speed are automatically set based on the actual room temperature. You can use the timer, to automatically switch off the air conditioner, at a set time. This is particularly useful if you want to set it for 2 or 3 hours, in which time the room should be cooled adequately, and also you do not want to worry about forgetting to switch it off. The sleep mode function, gives you a more comfortable environment for sleep, and the appliance will stop operation automatically after operating for 8hours. The turbo mode is used to start or stop fast cooling.Fan cooling operates at high fan speed, changing the set temperature automatically to 18C.

Overall i am glad with the Whirlpool Masterminds performance. It cools the room in a matter of minutes, and its operation is very silent, and smooth. Air filter maintenance is also very easy, and can be done in a few minutes by almost anyone. It has a two star rating, so you don't have to worry too much about power usage. The only issue i have with the Whirlpool Mastermind, is it's extra large outdoor unit, which is rather bulky, and really heavy. It does take some effort to set up, but since installation was done by the company, that was okay. Also you get 3 free service checkup's which is a great offer.

I haven't had any problems with mine, and i would recommend this air conditioner to anyone, who is looking for a good 1.5 ton AC at reasonable cost, and good value.
