Zojirushi PAMTC14 Ultra Slim Air Purifier
This is a great air purifier. I had it for about a year and a half before I had to move and couldn’t take it with me. It works really well. It’s super duper quiet. I’m really sensitive to sound, especially at night and I was worried that it would keep me up, but to my surprise, their advertisement of it being really quiet/silent is true. It does rev up in sound when it’s actively working, but that’s only during the day, like when you’re cooking or something. It doesn’t really rev up at night when I’m sleeping, which is good. It is also good to hear it rev up so you know it’s working.
The machine is pretty sensitive though. Every time I shower, it would rev up. It has very sensitive sensors. It can sense moisture in the air. It’s very predictable. Every single time I shower, the moisture fills up the room, and the purifier goes to work (though in this instance it really doesn’t need to rev up because it’s just hot air/moisture from the shower). Yes, every time you do any cooking or something, it will detect it and go to work. It will rev up anytime there’s something it thinks is really clogging up the air (like cooking or microwaving popcorn).
But for most of the day, it’s on like a silent level one. It is a fairly large unit, but then again all the air purifiers that clean the whole room/apt are large. It’s slim and looks fairly attractive, so that’s good.
I rate it 5 out of 5. I think it’s worth the money, though I do think the price is too high.
Pros- works well, it’s sensors are very sensitive and it removes stuff from the air and is super quiet
Cons- super expensive at 179.99 and even the replacement filters are expensive too ($50 for 2 replacement filters). It is fairly large.
